| Making International Calls |
|
|
 |
When making an international call you will need to make sure you know a few things before you start. First
of all you need to know the country code, click here for a full list.
Then you should check to see if the number you are calling is a land line (ie a regular fixed phone line)
or a cellular/mobile phone. You should know this because calls to cell phones will usually cost you more
than to a land line. To find out we suggest emailing the person you are going to call.
Once you have this info then you dial as follows:
- 011 + country code + area/city code + number
- The most important thing to remember is that if the area/city code you are calling starts with a '0'
then you DO NOT dial the '0'. Example, let's say you are calling a friend in the
UK (country code 44) and the UK phone number you want to dial is 01483-555-1212 you
would dial: 011 + 44 + 1483-555-1212
