Things You Should Know About Switching
This page ONLY applies to customers choosing Everdial1, this
page does NOT apply to customers choosing Everdial
Around.
When switching long distance you should be aware of the
following:
- You do not need to call you present long distance company
before signing up with Everdial, we will take care of cancelling them for you.
- It takes about 4 to 7 business days to get switched on with
Everdial.
- If you have a
PICC freeze on your line then you will need to read our PICC freeze page.
- Within your state there are 3 calling areas, local, local toll
& long distance. Local toll calls may either be carried by your local phone
company, or by your long distance company. In some areas local phone companies
offer package deals for local toll, and these packages may represent a good
value. But if you do not select a package for local toll calls then you may pay
up to 25 cents per minute or more from your local phone company! With everdial
all local toll calls are billed at the same rate as your intrastate calls, for
example in California the intrastate rate on everdial is 3.49 cents per minute,
so the local toll rate is also 3.49 cents per minute. When you order service
with everdial you will have the option of choosing local toll or not. Click here for a list of local toll rates.
- After you have signed up, it takes about 4 to 7 days to be
switched on, if you want to check to see if you have been switched on just call
1-700-555-4141. You will hear a message, if it says "Thanks for choosing Primus, or thanks for choosing Sprint" then you have been switched on and you can start making calls. If it says "Thanks for choosing AT&T" or names some other company then you are still with your previous carrier, and you should wait 24 hours and call again.
This is a toll free call, if this phone number does not work from your phone
then try 1-700-555-1212, which will give you the same thing.
